Obama and Bipartisan Health Care

President Obama has called bipartisan political leaders to come together to help reform health care.Is health care dead? Will it be revived ? Perhaps Ron Paul needs to have a voice in this debate .Whether Dems like him or not, when it comes to articulating this subject he might be influential in any true bipartisan agreement.

Americans are for the most part satisfied with their doctor, but for those citizens that wait for health care at Parkland Hospital, they say a change has got to come.

Now we have the doctors aligned against any change. Why? Because the system enriches them.Change is not profitable for all.In Grand Prairie a large suburb of Dallas, we have hospital beds, but no doctors in a vacant hospital. What's wrong with that? No BIG MONEY in that. Republicans tapping into public anger seizing the moment and any issue.Democrats wishing to carry on the legacy of the New Deal,Fair Deal, and Great Society.Meanwhile because of both parties playing politics ,society is getting the Raw Deal!

Whatever happens this Thursday, managed care or mismanaged care.I know one thing for sure.My insurance deductible is to high and my doctor does not do house calls.
Where is Marcus Welby when you need him ?

My family is four of the non-insured. Don't do me any favors, as the favors being done to me do nothing but raise rates.

Stop using the feds to make prescription drugs more expensive with ten-year studies to allow drugs into our market. If my doctor wants to treat me with a drug approved only in Argentina, it is on me and him. (And I should be able to waive my right to sue him later.)

Stop using the state to make insurance more expensive. Lawmakers like to brag about things like how they forced insurance carriers to give a certain number of days at the hospital for a birth...making insurance more expensive for women.

Government never makes things less expensive; the more typical result is a more expensive and lower quality product, with the bulk of the cost shifted to people not using the service. For examples, see mass transit, social security, CHIPs, public education, and libraries.

Summit was political theater, nothing more. Dems will move forward with what is essentially the Senate plan which right now cannot pass the House without Stupak and his 44 votes on the abortion issue. If, however, enough changes are made, or enough deals are made in the House and the Senate goes forward with reconciliation, it will pass and Dems will likely lose the House in November.

Ron, say it isn't so! I'll let the Dems have the House for one more cycle to keep healthcare from falling completely into gov't hands.

Well this is what happens with both sides of the isle where most of them have not a clue on the cost of running a business and have done nothing but spend other peoples monies most of their adult lives (and their parents as kids).

If the government wants to help with healthcare then just make it competitive by allowing them to compete across state lines. Next, lower doctor prices by protecting them some and getting rid of those frivolous lawsuits. I heard that idiot from Nevada Senate Majority leader state that anyone should be able to sue for as much as they like. BS. Losing your loved ones happens - at least the doctor tried and though the loss of life is tragic the only thing any of us are guaranteed is death (and salvation for those that call on His name but different topic).

The argument that everyone deserves healthcare is flawed to begin with. None of us deserve anything - we have a right to the pursuit of happiness and if health care fits into that equation then pursue it but don't grab me by the ankle and shake me upside down to get all of my money and pocket change to fall out and pay for someone else.

We want to provide healthcare for 30 million more people? How many of those 30 million are undocumented - the debate expands to undocumented or illegal aliens who are not part of the tax system but enjoy the benefits.

BHO is disconnected and continues to show what an arrogant rookie he is. He was barely a Senator before he rode his teleprompter to the Oval Office and surrounds himself with fools that do not understand who they work for.

The bad thing is they probably will pass something and once the government gets a hold of your hard earned dollars - they never release that hold. How many programs still exist for rural expansion in North America from FDR & the New Deal?

Have any of them up to this point been able to show any fiscal restraint on either side of the isle? Look at what they've done with Social Security....
